The Indiana Special Education Charter
Cooperative (ISECC) develops and supports
capacity within schools, maintains student and
school data for compliance, and maximizes
services and outcomes for students, staff and
families of students with special needs.
Backed by 29 years experience in education, ISE
offers schools a cooperative model for servicing
exceptional learners providing support and
assistance across a broad spectrum.
Specifically, the ISECC will:
Reporting
-
Complete all necessary paperwork for federal
and State special education grants and
reports;

File all child count reports required by the
Indiana Department of Education;

File all required special education reports
with the Indiana Department of Education;

Work with School to collect data to ensure
timely submission of all required special
education reports;

Review all special education files for legal
compliance at a minimum one time per year;

Complete and manage all data including CODA
and required data entry;
Personnel
-
Work with school leaders and special
education personnel to identify member
schools areas for programmatic focus for
improvement in educational services to
students with disabilities;

Work with schools to develop necessary
systems and structures to maintain accurate
records and to ensure compliance;

Assist school personnel to develop and use
databases to aggregate student data;

Identify and coordinate direct service needs
and providers for students;
-
Coordinate psychological evaluation services
and providers;
-
Coordinate Teacher of Record (ToR) and
Teacher of Service (ToS) across
participating schools in pooling resources
and providing services; as available and in
compliance with Article VII. May involve
additional fees to schools in need and will
be arranged on a case by case basis;
Results
-
Engage psychological evaluation staff to
assist with pre- and post- evaluation,
reporting and follow up work with school
personnel;

Ensure high quality case conference
committees through training and ISECC staff
in attendance at case conference meetings;

Assist school personnel as needed to
facilitate case conference committees and
IEPs;

Provide school personnel with resources and
workshops to ensure compliance with state
and federal special education law;

Provide school personnel information and
technical support with Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and
Article VII;

Provide resources and support to schools in
helping to keep parents informed;

Plan and facilitate workshops and summer
institute for participating schools;

Coordinate systems across schools to
encourage resource pooling and sharing that
includes, but is not limited to information,
expertise, training opportunities,
coordination of ToR and ToS, equipment and
assistive technology; and

Develop operational policies and procedures
to make explicit operational protocols and
procedures.
